Sharper positioning on core competencies with a new WordPress website for oral surgeon.

There is nothing better than to support a satisfied customer again when it’s time for the next big step. This was also the case with Dr. Felix Handy, a specialist dentist in oral surgery in Waren (Müritz), whose original website we had already designed. This time, we had the exciting task of further developing his old website to emphasize his specialization in oral surgery and dental implants even more.

The starting point: Specialization in focus

Dr. Handy came to us with the desire to restructure the existing website around his core competencies. Since we saw the existing layout of the site as a solid foundation, we decided together to use it and build the whole thing as a multi-site system with WordPress. This way, we could duplicate the existing site and link the new website as a standalone domain with the original WordPress installation.

The result? A seamless extension that relies on proven structures while simultaneously allowing room for new, specialized content. In the future, only one system needs to be updated for CMS and plugin updates. The content of both websites can be managed through a backend. Wonderful!

New: Focused content and comprehensive guides

The new website of Dr. Handy is not just a copy of the old one – it is much more. We have completely revised the texts and tailored them to the focus areas of oral surgery and dental implantology. In addition, we have created 24 detailed guide pages that comprehensively inform patients about dental implants and various surgical procedures. These pages provide valuable information and also contribute to better visibility in search engines. Here is a view of the expanded menu featuring the new topics related to oral surgery & dental implants.

Mobile performance and SEO at the highest level

A standout feature of the new website is its mobile performance. We understand how important it is for a website to function optimally on mobile devices. With an impressive Lighthouse score of 95, the site ensures a fast and smooth experience on smartphones and tablets. Google, in particular, has made mobile-first the standard. Therefore, we place a strong focus in our work on ensuring that our clients achieve top mobile PageSpeed scores. In this project, we even faced the challenge that the first viewport is a video loop, which, while beautifully showcasing the dental practice’s services, is also resource-intensive and should be loaded initially. Nevertheless, our PageSpeed optimizations have achieved a fantastic score of 95 for mobile performance – measured using Google’s Lighthouse.

We are not aware of a faster dental website. We take pride in that!

We made no compromises when it comes to search engine optimization either: With the help of Seobility’s SEO tool, we were able to bring the website to an on-page score of 99 and optimize the various subpages for the desired search terms. With a total of 56 pages, the website is still relatively small for implementing an effective SEO strategy. In terms of the industry environment, the website is now certainly among the larger ones. And just a few weeks after the launch, the website is already ranking among the top three positions for various keywords.

With the new specialized site, Dr. Handy can not only offer his patients the best treatment options but also provide a reliable source of information on dental implants and oral surgery.
