This was the SEO Day 2023 in Cologne: Feedback, photos, download links, and presentation screencasts.

On November 2, the German SEO scene gathered in Cologne for SEO Day with a meet-and-greet. In 30 high-profile presentations, visitors received the latest knowledge on search engine optimization along with many tips and hacks, as well as an AI-focused outlook on where the journey is headed.

I was also there as a speaker with the topic “Case Study: Quintuple the Online Visibility and Clicks in 12 Months,” in which I presented our SEO Sprint for TutKit.com. Since I was asked several times via LinkedIn and on-site about the slides, here is the link to the presentation.

SEO Day Presentation

I recorded my SEO presentation today in our agency as a screencast to update my online course on search engine optimization. Here is the screencast of my presentation, showing how we were able to significantly increase our visibility… included is at least one insight that will also improve your SEO work. I promise.

The relaunch checklist referenced in the video from the last slide can be found in this blog post on TutKit.com: https://www.tutkit.com/de/blog/203-relaunch-checkliste-fuer-online-shops-buchungs-und-corporate-websites

I was very pleased to receive a lot of positive feedback from people on-site after the presentation, including those who approached me directly at the event and later in the club. I am also very happy about the digital feedback from two other SEO speakers as well as from the managing director of Seobility.

SEO Day Feedback

In the overall speaker ranking, I didn’t make it to the top three positions. However, I am still very satisfied with a grade of 1.74. Additionally, it’s nice to have the following feedback from Raphael Wiesweg (see right). As my grandma always said: If you can’t be the best, at least be entertaining 🙂

I also had the opportunity to listen to other speakers all day long. I particularly enjoyed these three presentations:

  1. Joe Draxler: Belief is Absurd: A Best-of from 13 Years of Conversion Rate Optimization
  2. Jennifer Lapp: CRO vs SEO? Learnings from 100 HubSpot Experiments
  3. Jan Brakebusch: Enterprise SEO in the Future – What It Will Come Down To!

The presentation by Andreas Pabst on International SEO was equally fascinating for us, as we are currently working on the multilingual aspect of TutKit.com. A nice touch in his presentation was the following slide he prepared on site because he liked a statement from my talk. Thank you for this recognition!

At SEO Day, we were able to meet the team from Seobility, the SEO software we work with very intensively. Here is a photo with the Managing Director, Matthias Lugert.

In the evening, the day was concluded in a festive and relaxed manner with live music at a club in Cologne. My esteemed team colleague and SEO expert Jens Hammerschmidt was also there.

In conclusion: All in all, a worthwhile event that was very well prepared and organized on-site at the Rhein-Energie-Stadion. We were able to take away valuable new contacts and useful insights for our own work. At this point, I would like to thank Fabian Rossbacher and his team for the preparations, and Marco Lauerwald for introducing my presentation. Unfortunately, with three presentations running in parallel, it was not possible to attend all the speakers’ talks. I am already looking forward to the recordings that will later be made available in the SEO Club.

Jens concluded positively as well, noting that it is nice to see and also a confirmation of our work that we have mostly fulfilled our SEO homework for our projects… and simply need to keep at it.
