LeuchtNatur & 4eck Media: Premium Lighting and Our Contribution to Shopify Success
In our work at 4eck Media, we often encounter companies that put a lot of passion and craftsmanship into their products. However, there are clients whose story is so inspiring that you simply want to share it with a larger audience. One such example is Matthias Stölzle and his brand LeuchtNatur. This article aims to introduce you to our esteemed partner, his philosophy, and his unique products. First, I will talk about Matthias, his approach, and the lights that have become a hallmark of the company. Then, I will share our experiences from the collaboration: the challenges he faced when he came to us and how we supported LeuchtNatur in its digital development.
The story of LeuchtNatur: From an inspiration to a brand with international ambition
The story of LeuchtNatur did not begin with a business plan or large investments, but with a moment that forever changed Matthias Stölzle’s view of light and design. A few years ago, a friend gave him a whisper-thin veneer wood piece that seemed unremarkable at first glance. However, when he held it up to the light, the wood seemed to come to life: the grain glowed as if it had its own light. This moment became the dawn of an idea.
Matthias decided to give up his previous profession and began experimenting together with mechanical engineer Pascal Poschenrieder. From the very beginning, two values were at the center: sustainability and German quality. Plastic was not an option for them; instead, they relied on an environmentally conscious production process, in which every detail is perfected. Already in 2013, LeuchtNatur presented its first collection and immediately attracted attention – not only because of the innovation but also due to the respect for nature.
Today, production is located in Übersee, Bavaria, by Lake Chiemsee. There, every product is handcrafted, and no lamp is the same as the nature does not repeat its patterns. Matthias is not only the managing director but also a source of ideas and designer. He actively participates in material selection and supervises every step of the production process. His approach is a blend of engineering precision and artisan passion. For us at 4eck Media, LeuchtNatur is an outstanding example of how true love for craftsmanship creates a brand that stands for quality and character.
The products of LeuchtNatur: Innovation and nature in harmony.
Lights from LeuchtNatur are much more than functional objects – they carry personality, character, and the warmth of natural materials. The focus is on ultra-thin real wood veneer, sourced from walnut, oak, olive, beech, and other types of wood. Each veneer panel is only 0.5 millimeters thick and is carefully handcrafted to ensure that the light can optimally emphasize the grain. This makes each lamp a unique piece: there are simply no two identical models.
In addition to wood, the brand also focuses on unusual materials. Particularly noteworthy is the hay veneer, which is hand-cut in South Tyrol – entirely without chemical fertilizers or pesticides. The hay contains cornflowers and grasses, giving the lampshades a distinctive appearance and a slight fragrance. Another innovation is the slate veneer. The stone is cut into extremely thin sheets, laminated onto a textile base, and thus becomes translucent. When illuminated, it appears like an art object that showcases the natural character of minerals.
The product range from LeuchtNatur offers lamps for a variety of rooms and requirements. In addition to small table lamps like Arboreus, there are elegant pendant lights like Discus and striking floor models from the Arbor and Lucerna series. The models from the Columna series also impressively demonstrate how wood and stone materials can be harmoniously combined. All lamps are manufactured in Bavaria and are subject to a strict quality process. From the textile lampshade edge to the metal and wooden elements, every detail is carefully selected to connect durability, design, and a bond with nature.
What is particularly noteworthy is that LeuchtNatur consciously opts out of mass production. Each light fixture – whether a small table lamp or a large one – is created through a deliberate, time-intensive manufacturing process where precision and craftsmanship play a central role. This interplay of technology and craftsmanship makes the products so unique. They are aimed at people who appreciate individuality and quality and wish to enrich their homes with authentic materials.
The collaboration with Matthias has shown us that he is not just an entrepreneur, but a passionate creator. For him, every lamp is a project for which he personally takes responsibility. His company is a prime example of sustainable design: less talk and advertising, but more substance, careful selection of materials, and craftsmanship. For us, this project was not only an exciting challenge, but also an opportunity to meet a person who inspires with his ambition and passion.
Our work with LeuchtNatur: How we are developing a premium brand on Shopify
At 4eck Media, we manage projects of all sizes – from local websites to international online shops. Every client is unique, and each project requires a tailored strategy. The collaboration with LeuchtNatur is an example of how one can develop a clear SEO strategy and achieve visible results, even on a platform like Shopify, which comes with many limitations.
Our approach is clear: We work with the existing possibilities, build on the strengths of the project, and minimize the impact of factors that cannot be changed. Shopify offers less technical freedom than custom systems, but with a well-planned strategy, we can harness its full potential. LeuchtNatur is a manufacturer of premium handcrafted lamps; each lamp is a piece that requires time, experience, and precision. Our goal is to present this quality and philosophy digitally.
Project start: Audit and analysis
The first step was a comprehensive SEO-Audit. The design of the store seemed modern and appealing, but from a technical perspective, there were numerous barriers that made indexing and evaluation by search engines difficult. Shopify often gives the impression of simplicity, while the technical structure presents many challenges for SEO.
Our analysis revealed several key points:
- Excessively many automatically generated URLs. Shopify created language and regional directories for numerous countries. Over 117,000 potential URLs were detected in the Search Console, of which only a small part offers relevant content. This complicated efficient indexing and led to crawling load.
- Duplicate Content. Filter and sorting functions generated numerous URLs with identical content, diluting the evaluation of the main pages.
- Problems with pagination. Category pages and blog articles had recurring titles and content, which negatively impacted visibility.
- Lack of optimization. Many product pages did not have individual texts, meta tags, or alt texts. Structured data for products was missing.
- Incorrect hreflang structure. The language designation was unclear, making it difficult for search engines to identify main pages.
These points blocked the full potential of the shop. The goal was not only to correct mistakes but to create a sustainable foundation for brand development.
Structure Optimization: Clarity and Overview
We removed all language and country versions except for the German one, set up redirects, and revised the architecture of the shop. This cleaned up the index of unnecessary pages, allowing Google to focus better on important content.
In addition, we implemented canonical tags for products and categories, excluded parameter-based URLs from indexing, and optimized pagination. These measures ensure a clear structure and allow search engines to process the shop more efficiently.
Brand positioning: Workshop instead of mass production
LeuchtNatur stands for premium design and handcrafted lamps made from wood, alpine hay, and slate veneer. Each lamp is an individual piece that conveys artisanal quality and attention to detail.
We developed a semantic core set that reflects these values. Instead of generic terms, we focus on more precise keywords such as “wooden floor lamps,” “handcrafted lamps,” “sustainable lighting from Bavaria.” This way, we create visibility among a target audience that appreciates quality and individuality.
Blog: Modernization and Collaboration
The blog did not reflect the brand values so far. Articles were not optimized for relevant keywords and lacked a clear structure. We developed a prompt for AI-assisted revision that allows content to be recreated more efficiently and optimized for SEO.
A part of the editorial work is taken on by the LeuchtNatur team. We focus on technical and strategic tasks, while the partners implement simple adjustments independently. This creates a close collaboration: we and Matthias Stölzle with his team pursue a common goal. Regular consultations accelerate progress and make the process efficient.
Content and visual optimizations: the foundation for growth.
After addressing the most important technical issues, content took center stage. Shopify sets limits, but high-quality content and visual presentation compensate for this.
We revise texts for products, categories, and blog articles. They are oriented around the semantic core and convey brand values. Once all existing pages are optimized, we create new content: expert articles, background reports, and storytelling elements.
As Google increasingly evaluates user behavior – dwell time, page views, interactions – texts with added value and high-quality media are crucial. A website should not only inform but also captivate and build trust.
At the same time, we optimized the layout: images were given new formats, and the arrangement of elements was adjusted to show users the most important information first. This way, the shop presents the brand’s premium image more clearly.
Plans for this year: EEAT and Local SEO
The next focus is on strengthening EEAT (Expertise, Experience, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) as well as local SEO. More and more users are searching for products using AI-powered assistants. These systems not only analyze keywords but primarily assess what others say about a brand: reviews, mentions on third-party sites, trust, and recognition.
Our strategy includes:
- Building and maintaining customer reviews on various platforms,
- Increase in the average brand rating,
- Publication of expert articles on relevant websites,
- Expansion of brand presence in blogs and media,
- Optimization for local search results and Google Maps.
Reviews are a crucial factor for user trust and a central criterion for Local SEO. Those who offer premium products must not only deliver quality but also build public trust. The goal is a “level of trust” that is supported by positive reviews, media coverage, and external mentions. This is how LeuchtNatur gains visibility in organic search and in new AI-driven channels.
Results of the first phase
Since the project began two months ago, visibility has shown significant progress. The number of indexed pages has stabilized, and keywords related to premium lighting and natural materials are rising in the rankings.
It is particularly encouraging that Google is responding quickly to our optimizations. After each workday, we notice changes in the visibility curve. This confirms our forecast: by the end of the year, the shop’s traffic is expected to grow by two to three times. This goal serves as a clear reference for us.
Collaboration and Attitude
This project demonstrates how important collaborative teamwork is. Matthias Stölzle and his team are actively involved in the process, which allows us to implement progress more quickly. Projects where all participants take responsibility achieve better results.
At 4eck Media, we take pride in successfully tackling complex tasks. It is especially valuable to work with clients who invest passion and precision in their work. This mindset inspires us to develop websites that reflect the value of the brand. For LeuchtNatur, this is just the beginning: Our goal is to build a digital presence that establishes trust, increases visibility, and fosters long-term growth.
